About Company
AlMansoori Petroleum Industries (AMPI) was established in 2008 in Abu Dhabi as a subsidiary of AlMansoori Specialized Engineering. The purpose was to establish manufacturing companies locally and to form joint ventures with international companies to bring new technology and know-how to the country. This aligns with the UAE Vision 2030 to encourage local manufacturing and to support our oil and gas industry with the latest technologies and products. AMPI fully owns three different manufacturing companies which are all located in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD1).
The first company is Specialized Oilfield Products (SOP), established in 2004, which manufactures wireline and well service equipment.
The second company is Global Chemical Company (GCC), established in 2006, which manufactures specialty oilfield chemicals such as drilling and completion fluid additives, and acid stimulation chemicals.
The third company is Micoda Process Systems International, established in 2006, which is involved in the design and engineering, procurement, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning of process equipment and process packages. All of these products used to be imported from other countries.
AMPI supports the oil and gas sector by manufacturing these types of equipment and products locally and at a very competitive price; while meeting customers’ expectations in terms of quality, specifications, and delivery. Therefore, we are committed to contribute in the In-Country Value (ICV).
AMPI is also active in bringing the latest technology and establishing backup services in terms of maintenance and support through the establishment of joint venture companies in Abu Dhabi. We have two joint venture (JV) companies in the group established with internationally recognized companies.
Our first JV company is National Oilwell Varco AlMansoori Services (NMS), established in 1992 with National Oil Well Varco, USA, who is a major manufacturer and supplier of rig-related equipment like the ones used in ADNOC Drilling. NMS provides maintenance, upgrade and certification of its equipment, including the latest technology to our clients such as ADNOC Drilling.
Our second JV company is Flowserve AlMansoori Services (FAMCO) established in 1993 with Flowserve Corporation, USA, who is one of the major manufacturers and suppliers of pumps and mechanical seals. FAMCO also provides similar services such as maintenance, repair and certification of pumps and mechanical seals to all clients including ADNOC. The third JV company is Emirates National Chemicals Company (EMOCHEM), established in 1984 between AlMansoori Specialized Engineering and ChampionX, USA. EMOCHEM manufactures specialty oilfield production chemicals, blending, laboratory testing, and consultancy. All our JV companies are based in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi.
The third JV company is Emirates National Chemicals Company (EMOCHEM), established in 1984 between AlMansoori Specialized Engineering and ChampionX, USA. EMOCHEM manufactures specialty oilfield production chemicals, blending, laboratory testing, and consultancy. All our JV companies are based in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi.
