Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced nanny for our repeat clients based in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child development and childcare, with experience working with children, particularly boys aged 8 and 11. This role requires someone active, organised, and capable of supporting the boys with their homework and daily routines, while working alongside other staff members in a fully staffed household.
Key Responsibilities:
- Homework Support: The nanny will assist with the boys’ homework and school projects, ensuring they remain focused and achieve their academic goals.
- Daily Schedule Management: The candidate will manage the boys’ schedules, ensuring they are on time for school, activities, and other appointments. Reliability and excellent time management skills are essential.
- Activity Organisation: The nanny will plan and organise engaging and educational activities at home, such as sports, games, and reading sessions. It is important to encourage both physical activity and intellectual development.
- Light Errands: The nanny will manage light child-related errands, such as keeping the boys’ wardrobes organised, ensuring their rooms are tidy, and handling any necessary shopping for them.
- Collaboration with Household Staff: The nanny will work closely with other household staff to maintain a harmonious and efficient environment.
- Travel Requirements: The nanny may be required to accompany the family on trips, managing the boys’ needs while travelling and ensuring their comfort in different settings.
Candidate Requirements:
- Childcare Qualification: A formal qualification in childcare is essential. Relevant degrees or certifications in education or child development will also be considered.
- Experience: Previous experience with children in the 8 to 11 age group is a must. The nanny should have a track record of managing their schedules, homework, and activities.
- Active and Energetic: The role requires an active individual who can keep up with the boys’ energy levels, engaging them in both physical and intellectual activities.
- Adaptability: The nanny must be flexible to the family’s needs, working in a fully staffed household and adjusting to travel requirements.
- Availability: The nanny must be ready to start as soon as they are available.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
